π οΈ Ways to Grow This Seed
Between what happens and how we respond lies the power of perception.
1. Pause Before Reacting
When you notice a strong emotional reaction,
take a moment to pause.
A few seconds of awareness can prevent an automatic response.
2. Observe the Facts
Ask yourself: "What did I actually see, hear, or experience?"
Separate the facts from the story you're telling yourself about them.
3. Identify Your Interpretation
Notice the meaning you've attached to the situation.
Am I assuming?
Am I judging?
Am I filling in missing information?
4. Explore Other Possibilities
Ask: "What else could this mean?"
Challenge yourself to find at least two or three alternative explanations.
5. Choose a Response Aligned with Your Values
Instead of reacting from assumption,
respond from the person you want to be - whether that's kindness, curiosity, respect, or understanding.
Reflect and Learn
After the interaction, ask:
"What did I learn about my perceptions today?"
Every situation becomes an opportunity to understand yourself better.

The more you practice this sequence,
the more flexibility, understanding, and wisdom
you bring to your relationships and decisions.

β¬οΈClick on each tab & explore
This week, notice one situation where you are absolutely certain about what someone meant.
Then gently ask yourself: "What else could be true?"
You may discover that the story you were reacting to was not the situation itself, but your interpretation of it.
And in that discovery lies greater freedom, understanding, and joy.
β¨This weekβs seed is simple: When you realize that your interpretation is not the only interpretation,
new choices become available.π±
